Leadership coaching is for managers and leaders who want to get better at leading people, navigating tricky situations, and feeling more confident in the role. At Lead Into It, I primarily work with emerging and mid-level managers who are great at what they do but weren't necessarily taught how to manage people.
You don't have to be struggling or on the verge of quitting to benefit from coaching. Maybe you've just stepped into management, your team has grown, you're dealing with a situation you don't know how to handle, or you're realizing that the way you've always done things isn't working anymore.

A leadership coach helps you work through the people stuff that comes with being a manager—things like giving feedback, delegating, setting boundaries, making decisions, and having conversations you really don't want to have. Basically, all the things you suddenly realize nobody actually taught you how to do.
My job isn't to hand you a list of things you "should" be doing. It's to help you slow down, think through what's actually happening, ask the right questions, and figure out what you want to do next.

A leadership coach can help with the very real, very messy situations that come with managing people—difficult conversations, delegation, team dynamics, boundaries, feedback, prioritization, conflict, and those decisions you've been going around and around about.
This is a sweet spot for Lead Into It because mid-level managers are often expected to figure leadership out while they're already in the middle of doing it. Coaching gives you a place to slow down, think clearly, and work through what's actually happening instead of trying to Google your way through every leadership problem.

You probably don't need a coach because you're a "bad" manager. Most of the people I work with are pretty darn capable.
You might benefit from coaching if you're avoiding a conversation, struggling to delegate, second-guessing yourself, feeling overwhelmed by your team, or realizing that what worked when you were an individual contributor isn't working anymore. Sometimes you just know you're capable of being a better leader and want some help getting there.

You bring the thing that's on your mind, and we talk about it. Seriously.
Maybe it's a conversation you're dreading. Maybe it's an employee situation you can't quite figure out. Maybe you have a decision to make and you've gone around and around in your head about it. I'll ask questions, help you look at the situation from different angles, and help you figure out what you actually want to do.
I don't come into the session with a giant binder of leadership homework waiting for you. The coaching is based on what's happening in your world right now.
-
Absolutely. And before we decide someone is just "difficult," it's worth figuring out what's actually happening.
Are they genuinely undermining you? Do they disagree with how decisions are being made? Are they asking questions that nobody else feels comfortable asking? Or have you two just gotten into a pattern where every interaction feels like a battle?
Coaching can help you sort through what's going on, figure out what needs to change, and prepare for the conversation without going in ready for war.

A leadership coach can help you figure out what actually needs to be said, how to say it, and how to stay grounded when the conversation gets uncomfortable. That might mean talking through a performance issue, giving difficult feedback, setting a boundary, addressing conflict, or saying something you've been avoiding.
I don't believe you need a magic script for every difficult conversation. You need to understand what you're trying to accomplish and feel confident enough to actually have the conversation.
-
Nope. In fact, I work primarily with emerging and mid-level managers.
A lot of people get promoted because they're really good at their job and then suddenly find themselves responsible for other people's performance, development, emotions, and mistakes. Fun, right? Leadership coaching gives you a place to figure out that transition without having to pretend you already know exactly what you're doing.

Lead Into It offers ongoing 1:1 leadership coaching as well as a single-session Power Hour. Pricing depends on the coaching format and whether you're working with me individually or through an organization.
If you're looking for coaching for multiple leaders, group coaching, a workshop, or a speaking engagement, I'll put together a proposal based on what you're actually looking for.

The easiest place to start is with a conversation.
You don't need to know exactly what kind of coaching you need or have your leadership challenge neatly packaged up before you reach out. Tell me what's going on, what you're trying to figure out, and what kind of support you're looking for, and we'll figure out together whether Lead Into It is the right fit.
